This poem was inspired by simple things. We've all lost someone in our life who meant a lot to us whether through death or breaking of friendships.

Someone is standing behind the door What are they waiting for? Don’t they know that doors can open and close? Can’t they grasp the handle, Don’t they know that on the other side there is something more, Why do they wait outside while it begins to snow? Don’t they want to keep moving to get out of the cold? Do they not want to grasp onto the warmth from my soul? Why won’t they enter through the door?

Little child don’t you understand? They cannot come back, They have left this side now, They want to hold your hand And hug you tightly, One day they will, When you go their way too, They are not gone forever, They are just in a different room
