Priceless jewels we are

Gathering from afar

In inky darkness of stars

Glimmering like snow

While gingersnaps  bake

On a crisp night marred by blood

Wondering if there’s any good

Left in the world and food

Enough for those who have none

A little boy have gone

Off to search for his table

Helping those who are feeble

Cold, shivering and confused

While shadows are filled with amuse-

Ment stretching and prowling

Like wolves howling

They hunt the little boy

As their hatred for light

Fuels the fire

The game of life begins with desire

To find nourishment in the night

The wolves end a good fight

When the boy discovers, they take

Away. replaced by fear the wolves gave

To the boy. The wolves increase

Their power, filling with ease

On ice. The boy slips

And falls, trip-

Ping over with no relief

He finally gives up and lies

On the alley ground, hoping to die

And grow angel wings to fly

Away from the predators of night.
