As a result of my unwillingness to face you in reality you show up in my dreams. In a tragic way I enjoy your visits. You never come with anything to say, just a smile, and that smile could burn a city down. You are contagious and I feel the corners of my lips pull themselves into the same position. Your hand reaches out and grazes my cheek; the touch of your fingertips is a match to my skin that lights like gasoline. I am licked by flames as your hand drops and traces down my arm. I gaze up at you to see the scene has changed. Ripples run across your face as if I am looking at you from underwater. The fire inside me is put out, extinguished. I am thrown back in to consciousness and left with the remanence of you on my lips.
