Cool gentle breezes greeted as I arrive
Place of my birth, whence I derived
Streets so familiar, they’ve survived
the assaults of time, man and strife

Here is where my inner heart is
My mind flushed with memories
The childhood that I cherish
Now, as if I was granted a wish

My home, the land where I was born
My domain’s no more, my heart’s worn
My humble abode gone in time
my heart aches, my mind mimes

Yet amidst, through all my uncertainties
my moments of despair and affinities
Exists a place my hearts feels for
a place that I do deeply adore

For here I feel my sense of belonging
this land seem I have been evicted
Though lapse of an epoch, still longing
my feel and thoughts, I am convicted

The gentle caressing breeze still blows
and now even my heart glows
Within my mind happy thoughts flow
until when – I just don’t know

Beyond the horizon of my dreams
lies a cool gentle flowing stream
It nourishes me, it gives me life
There I’ll rest my troubles and strives

My past infused with my present
Like a distant call long being absent
Now, I’m blessed with endearment
Now, I am somebody, I shan’t lament
