This is my first poem in a while, life has been super busy! Do you ever feel that you are trapped and alone? That you can know longer understand.

Isolation

My soul

became the North Pole.

Freezing,

Frosty,

Flakes of snow

powdered my skin

like cocaine,

mixed with shame.

I grew so distant,

so isolated,

and alone,

that the only language

I understood

was chattering teeth

and shivering bones.
