I thought I saw a summer glow

as I approached, it grew brighter

it bloomed a smile like a rose,

I had never seen such beauty

I became a wind and flew into the sky

That summer glow had never been so happy

the birds sing

mountains shift in chorus;

rivers and lakes ripple

the fish jump; the tigers moan

There’s no peace I can find without you

Your heartening glow is what keeps me in my youth

I saw a tear form in your eye

and from it a lake did grow,

it’s where we’ll spend our time

a private place to call our home

Your beauty makes me weep for the world

For if all the light’s in you, there are only clouds to darken the land

we choose to play like two young lovers with all of time,

but we could not see what was coming.

I danced around you in the sky,

you shined more brilliant, as though you were heaven

Meadows grow wild flowers

Between the trees, I hear your playful whisper

then came the day my wind grew weak,

you would not leave my side;

I told you to share your light with the world,

but you thought the rest of the world too lonely

Tides will change, but the sky is unmoved

The ground will shake with anger, but be soothed

One day, I woke to find you gone,

darkness surrounded me.

I traveled across the sky to find you,

and in the brightest corner you were glowing

Grass grows green with your gleaming love

What love we have, we must share

I bade goodbye and kissed your cheek,

another tear formed a lake;

it grew large and it grew wild

creating a pool of new life

Our pain is how we’ll spread beauty;

Every tear, every ray, every sorrowed sway breathes life unto the earth

so I say to you goodbye, my love,

but I will see you another time.

There’s so much world we need to give breath,

but I know we will see it live

Our hearts know love

The sky knows light and wind,

The forests breathe and life begins again.
