The first part of the poem is a conversation I had at a party. The rest, my response, is what I was thinking when he was talking.

He sits down
Next to me and smiles.
I lower my head
In reply.
This does not
Dissuade him
As he ask "Is there meaning to life?"

From there,
The conversation lags
As he goes
On and On
About the absence
Ofo bjective truth,
How life is Ultimately meaningless.

I intently focus
On his mouth
While envisioning
How it would
Taste on mine.
He continues to speak,
But I can no Longer bare it.
I put my finger
Against his lips,
Holding it there
For a few seconds
And say, "If I kiss you,
Would you promise to shut up?"

He pauses, barely able
To get another word out
Before my lips
Are on his.
His mouth yields
And our tongues meet.
He tastes of sugar
And the sweetness
Overtakes me as I
Dissolve into him.

He presses his body against mine,
Moving his hand,
Up my thigh
Reaching for the
Hidden place
No one dares to go.

He makes the journey,
Feeling what his kisses
Have done to me.
His puts his hand
To my mouth
As I drink
The holy water from his fingers.

A smile breaks
Across my face
As I coyly say,
"That's my answer
To your question."
