They say there’s no magic, and everything’s ruled by a law,
Yet our world is the craziest thing that I’ve ever known.

A million roads, and at different places they meet;

A million hearts, and in multiple rhythms they beat.

A day after day passes by and is measured by time;

A star after star lights, and in constellations they shine.

A million tired, walking feet take the fast-pacing train,

A billion thoughts spearing through ‘bout a thousand brains.

A million eyes never lock, as they stare into space,

A million loved ones fall into somebody’s embrace.

A million summers we greet, where a romance engages,

Like ones that unravel on silver screens, pages or stages.

A million mittens warm hands at a winter so cold,

A fact after fact is discovered and adds to what’s old.

A million dreams, those encouraged by passion and pride,

A million hopes to stay calm in a city so wide.

A voice after voice raising up with ambition and haste;

By rule or by choice, people splitting in different ways.

They say there’s no magic, and everything’s ruled by a law:

Yet our world is the craziest thing that I’ve ever known.
