When I look up from my hospital bed, as I sit their in the darkest of night; a thought goes through my head. Have I reached my potential?

As I stare at the ocean from the imperial beach pier, I look to the sunset and wonder. Have I reached my potential.

When your mom, dad, or spouse look at you after you suffered at setback and tell you, “it will be okay.” I have to wonder. Have I reached my potential.

When I sit in church, praying to the heavens; seeking answers to my unanswerable questions, I ask this of god. Have I reached my potential.

When you look into the eyes of the one you love. They give you a gaze through their eyes telling you, “only you can tell if you’ve reached your potential.”
