I am filled to bursting with words I’ll never say.

My unspoken devotion is pink, hazy.

It creeps up behind my widened eyes,

And colours my vision with its blush.

These words bloom in my stomach,

And wind their way to my throat.

The cloying blossoms suffocate, slow.

I am throwing up wilted leaves.

I am crying rosewater tears.

I am drowning in pent up petals.

I am filled to bursting with words I’ll never say.

My unspoken apologies are dead, heavy.

They weigh down my stomach with their corpses.

The sludge seeps into my pores,

And stains my body black with its oozing.

This second skin envelopes, slow.

Soon it will overtake me.

Soon it will become me.

Without you, there is nothing left.
