Oh no, the daily fighting has started. Off to my safe haven, my bedroom,

I go. I sit on the floor clutching a stuffed animal while rocking

back and forth.

My dissociation into my own world has begun. This lost child

loves coming here. There is no fighting, I'm not afraid or alone,

I'm not worthless or depressed. I'm just me. I run, play

smile, and laugh. These words are foreign to me in the

"other world."

However, my own world slowly starts to fade away. My mind

has come back to the real world. The reality of fights, being

afraid and alone, worthless and depressed has slapped

me in the face once again.

Then I think at least I had one hour of freedom. Plus I'll be

back there soon enough.
