I wish you cared as much as I do,

And feel the things I feel for you.

You say these words so chillingly,

Remaining too unwillingly.

To change what hurts; to do what’s right,

Instead, you just put up a fight.

And I’m defenseless and disarmed,

Your pride wins as I am harmed.

You care too little or not at all,

My heart you slam against the wall.

It’s all the same; it’s just your choice,

You take from me my only voice.

Your ego wins and mine just loses,

And you move on ignoring bruises.
