Parking lot wonderland

2am and the world is silent

All but the car where we resign all worries

Where the air tastes like yearning

And the desire pounds my chest so violent

You excite the air with embers

As my skin burns with blushing scarlet fire

The street lamps glow a halo on your window

Aptly heaven greets me as we give into desire

Your lips taste like tomorrow

The world is ours tonight

This parking lot is a ghost town filling my head with whispers of courage

Until you flash those bedroom eyes

Then the world grows still

My skin burns hot

But down my spine runs a chill

And I can’t process a single though

My breathing grows rapid

And I feed on your lust

Now I’m aching with need,

The need for your touch

Your teeth paint my body red

Your grip greets my throat

Suddenly I’m a wild mustang

Aching to be broke

By you

I want to be broken by you

And I don’t want to give up

All these things we do

Would it be so bad to say

We’d be good together?

That labels aren’t something

That would have to come off

In the times that shit gets weathered

I don’t want just tonight

I don’t even just want this week

I want the chance to call you mine

Tell me, is that fate really that bleak?

Sure, we’re great at lust

And I daydream about those eyes

But I also want to trust

That this isn’t just for tonight

These parking lot fantasies

Breathe me to life

As your touch kills me sweetly

And I ache for your knife

But just like the leaves

I too am changing colors

And I hope for the fall

The fall of these lovers

I know you don’t do this

And I understand why

But hear me out

I’m not like all the others

Don’t let this town

Be the downfall

of us after all
