LOVELESS

WHY DO WE CRY WHEN LOVE TOUCHES OUR HEARTS?

IS IT PAINFUL TO BEAR TO BE SO OPEN?

WHY FIGHT THE URGE TO TRUST ANOTHER

WITH SIMPLE WORDS UNSPOKEN.

WHY DO WE DREAM OF COMING PAIN

WHEN JOY IS ON THE HORIZON.

WHEN CAN WE STOP TO SEE THE LIFE

WITH OUR HEARTS TRUELY WIDE OPEN?

WE FIGHT THE URGE TO LOVE AGAIN,

TO HIDE THE HURT FROM INSIDE.

WE NEVER OPEN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS,

SO IT’S LONELINESS WE DECIDE.

WHEN LIGHT SHOWS FROM FAR BEYOND THE CLOUDS,

WHY DO WE SEE ONLY SHADOWS?

INSTEAD OF EMBRACING THE NOW,

WE LIVE WITHIN DEATH’S MEADOWS.
