Slight stumble at one point, but couldn't find the appropriate replacement.
I still like it though.

I am a traveler from the East,

There the famine, here the feast,

To save my children, save my wife,

I pay the price, I pay my life,

Plunged in darkness,

Land of light,

I plead for goodness,

I swear to fight,

I left my home,

My land, alone,

Took a boat,

Me and my coat,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

And I will find my way back home,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

Until that day, I shall roam, the sea,

Slaving away in the mills,

As they beat us just for thrills,

Lost by night, slaves by day,

Working hard for a meager pay,

One man stood up, for the mass,

They shut him up, we’re lower class,

They say improvement comes with time,

If we wait, all will be fine,

They took the man today,

They said that he couldn’t stay,

So I go back out to sea,

Return to my family,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

And I will find my way back home,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

Until that day, I still roam, the sea,

Oh all this pain,

With little gain,

I do this for you my son,

But you’re not the only one,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

And I will find my way back home,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

Until that day, I still roam, the sea,

The weeks went by,

The men grew shy,

Filled with dread,

Our spirit’s dead,

They tightened the noose,

Of abuse,

We must retreat,

We have to eat,

No will to speak,

Our mean are weak,

Families in mind,

Obey the unkind,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

And I will find my way back home,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

Until that day, I still roam the sea,

We’ve grown since then,

Way back when,

We’re stronger now,

We will not bow,

Tall and proud,

Strong and loud,

We’ve made our plans,

Shout our demands,

They have changed,

The goodness estranged,

We are now one,

What was said is now done,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

And I will find my way back home,

I am the Sea Man,

I am the Sea Man,

Until that day, I still roam the sea,

We found a way,

No longer strays,

Found our new home,

We no longer roam,

We’ll start anew,

We may be few,

Starting with this day,

We’re here to stay,

I paid the price, I paid my life,

I saved my children, saved my wife,

There was a famine, here a feast,

I was a traveler from the east.
