Sitting in my car outside a local eatery, I observed the most charming event unfold.  It really wove in some delight, as I enjoyed an afternoon snack respite.

A white car drove up and parked two cars over from mine.  It was over the line on my side; the driver, a mom, backed in and out striving for success.  The small boy in the back seat was directing mom.  He peered between the seats toward the front of the car, then carefully looked through each rear window to see if the lines were visible.

Finally, they both got out.  I watched, amused, as they continued to assess the situation.  When he walked over to the area between our cars, I flashed him a big victory smile.  He looked bashful, but proud, to have assisted in this important task.

That's how it is in life—trying to stay between the lines, stay balanced, and do life "correctly" for oneself and others.

I fell in love with this helpful little boy.  He really brightened my day.  His mom is a lucky lady.  May your own day be brightened by small joys as you move through the hours of your life.  A happy life is in the small details, yes?

(Have you recently observed an amusing or uplifting event when you were out and about on errands?)
