Watching the election results made me glad, sort of, and depressed at the same time, as one thing became clear to me. The gap between rural and urban is becoming so wide, you can no longer see the other side. And we urbaners are helpless to stop it. The rurals are in control, and if we get down in the mud and fight, it will do nothing to heal the country, and make the gap unspannable, and they know it, and say, 'bring it on, libtards! (I HATE that word!)'

I hate what we've become, two warring brothers. That's not how our democracy's supposed to work, it's set up to run on compromise but anymore it's, 'all my way or forget it.' Don't get me wrong, I mean, what other choice do we liberals have? But I weep for our democracy. I can't really blame them for feeling that liberal America is laughing at them. If the situation was reversed, we'd be gloating too, come on, admit it. I see no way to prevent a complete fracturing of 'we the people.'
