Let the string unfurl,

From its rustic wooden spool,

And to the sky what colors hurl,

Shall open rigid doors.

And beyond thick mists of gray,

May we lace upon fresh canvas,

Some new perspective on the day,

With looser, longer cords.

But ah! Such stubborn moorings,

Doth loop me to my ways!

As even now uneven floorings,

Tilt from brighter shores.
