Set the scene...
A quiet, antique street
With buildings.
The architecture ...
Something out of paris.
There was
Lightening and a little bird
Here to tell me a secret,
In the dark,
Seemingly spawning itself out from the flash of light.
I saw the bird zoom past,
Swoop down and disappear.
I saw it's birth and death;
An eerie freak of nature.
I grabbed the wheel and steered
With a  quick turn to the right.

It’s a blur-

The tree.

The crash.
My lungs collapsed and exhaled
The last breath of air.
Another flash,
Then suddenly

I found myself in the middle of nowhere.

I’ll have to find my way back to reality again.

That is, if I ever found it

The last time this happened.

It always happens on this road…

That corner,

The bird,

My death,

And me, left searching in the dark

With a strange feeling in my head.

Then there’s the otherworldly figures dressed in black.

They look like gothic people,

But I know they’re not real

Because of that haunting look in their eyes.

And they laugh each time I pass.

“He doesn’t know he’s dead,”

They whisper, as if it’s a game,

And suddenly I feel the dread;

I remember...

But it doesn’t matter,

Because I know I’ll soon forget again.
