The emprire of greed

Spreading their hateful seed

Seething fire in their eyes

To see their foes die

Armies at the border holds

Keeps parallel in the cold

Generals lead from the front

The soldier bearing the brunt

Formations soon break

As armor clashes and quakes

Steel flashing in the snow

A series of unending steel blows

Blades chopping deep into flesh and bone

Spattering the snow covered stone

The wilderness laid to battle's waste

As men grind each other into pulpy paste

Hammer,bow,spear, and sword

Cries for aid from the Lord

Soon there is silence

There is no more defiance

Just the broken bodies on the rocky ground

Where still hearts once rung with battle's sound

Now it's just empty windless breath

On these frozen plains of death
