Coil

Soft-spoken biting words
Slyly spoke by slippery tongues
Seducing smiles from bigot birds
See yet how far has fallen one
It does not hesitate to speak
Its poison praises in attempt
To tear down that which it finds weak
The price of true unpaid contempt
How longing likeness doth agree
How learning love doth now accept
How futile is the fertile tree
How lost are lovers purposeless
A lock unbreakable be laid
Until the price for key be paid
