It is sad to see that even today, when we are nearing 2019, women are seen inferior to men, all around the world. We talk a lot about how we've come so far when it comes to gender equality and yes, we have come a long way, but there is still a long way to go.

During the past year, everyone has read dozens and dozens of news of women coming forward about sexual abuse. Of course there are men too, so don't bash on me for forgetting that. But most victims are women. At least the ones telling about it. And most of the abusers are men. To think that there are people these days that think it's okay to go and harass anyone sexually, is sad. You'd think that people learn but apparently, humanity is as stupid as it can get.

Also it has been noted that women are paid less even in first world countries. People who are doing the same job get paid differently for no obvious reason. That is a problem and it creates an atmosphere of inequality at a workplace but also on a national and even international scale.

To me it's odd that during the past couple of hundred years, the US hasn't had a female president. Not once. Many countries have. Some haven't. Another thing the US just managed to establish a few years ago, is allowing women to serve in combat roles. Just now. Sure, females and males are biologically and physically different but there are still people who take women as weak. That's far from the truth. Countries like Israel have proven that point since their independence in 1948. Women make just as good soldiers as men. In some cases, women are even more motivated and therefore, it's wrong to judge people doing the same job, any job that might be, by their gender.
