I peer into thine eyes, as thou mayest see;

Never fully, are they drawn over me

But alas, can I still know

What I see through this distance

Is everlasting into my soul

As thy mind rageth to and fro

Into the world are thy thoughts;

Into mortality, hast thou wrought

To keep thyself ever here;

Shalt thou keep life always dear

From thy soul hath been blessed,

Precious life confessed;

Stayest thou, accompany the light,

Forth into the storm, forth into the night

Grant this moment unto thyself

As thou canst avow

For bearings set straight,

Wilt thou unlock thy timeless gate?
