Music caresses my soul ever so,

Touching my very fiber from head to toe;

I feel every word, I see every note,

Surrounding myself, a melodious moat.

Relieving my soul of dismay,

Preventing my own decay,

Allowing my sanity to stay.

This gift bestowed upon my ears

Forces away all my fears,

Bringing an end to all my tears.

In my greatest despair

I so unwillingly wear,

The cloak is taken away

For the beauty I hear today.

Every crevice, every cave,

In exalted sensation I bathe;

I relieve every memoir,

Sung to me, an earnest choir;

And now, I reminisce

Of every sound I hold, none amiss
