She was excited but tired after building so she headed to the shore again, making herself a flower attracting necklace and bracelets and danced with the waves crashing against the rocks. Soon, the mariposas all around were making their way to her and they were all swaying with the breeze and sea together. Blue, orange, black and white ones.

As they fluttered, the patterns on  their wings glinted from the horizon and their reflections rippled with the waves.

And so gently, one landed on her wrist, She felt the delicate kiss of the mariposa lift of again then another one landed, this time on her her leg as she sat patiently in the sand. It’s wings opened, once, twice, her breath shallow with the speed of the flutters, once, twice, then it flew away.

Where she lives is a secreto but that’s how her imagination drifted past the clouds with the mariposa.

She said she was “alone”.
