It was not the thought of falling in love that scared her,
That didn't matter anymore;
But it was the fear of being broken; more than she already was.
She didnt have anything left to be broken, her heart was not hers anymore
It had been lost and crumbled in the hands of unworthy owners, no borrowers.
But he was different, he had to be
He gave her a piece of him each day and she felt like she was being remade
And if her heart broke again, it wouldn't hurt as much because it was not hers
Right?
