STRESS STEALER

I can see you struggle,

feel your stress,

it’s hurting me,

I must confess.

Step in to

my open arms

and I’ll make you

safe from harms.

Steal my calmness,

take my peace,

together we will

slay this beast;

for I will soak up

all your pain

until you’re feeling

calm again.

Let me go,

I need to leave

before the fear,

it’s course does weave.

Now alone,

without a doubt,

I’ll lift my head

and scream it out.

Stress expelled

and pain diluted --

why is life

so convoluted?

Wonderfully done, Hully. If only there was such an invention as a stress stealer that could literally remove our stress.

It would be fantastic, wouldn't it. But they'd never keep up with demand.
Thanks so much for giving this a read, Jeff.

A wonderful poem, Hully. I think I'll ask Santa to get me one for Christmas... if only!

As I was reading, I could totally feel and resonate with the empathy and tender care stored within eloquently penned words.
