For This, You’ll Pay!

Oh, I know you thought you’d go out and bag yourself a trophy. And my head on your wall, well, that was bound to impress your mates. That’s all that mattered to you; my life was forfeit to increase your social standing within the hunting community.

I don’t like to brag but I really am some special reindeer. And therein lies your problem. My head might be up on this wall, mounted on this piece of wood, but it is very much alive, unlike the rest of me. See these antlers? Well, one day you are going to get too close and feel the full force of my wrath collide with your rear end.

That will be bad, but not so bad as what else you will suffer. My name, you see, is Blixen. Yes, the very same! The big man is out there calling for me to take my place on his sleigh. Without him, he’ll be a reindeer short, won’t be able to make his deliveries.

Yep, you’ve got it! You have ruined, no, destroyed Christmas!

Not only that but I’ll tell you something else. Your name will be forever more on Santa’s Naughty list. I bet you don’t feel quite such a hotshot now!

A solid piece to go with the pic. If people felt the consequences of their actions before they acted, I'm sure there'd be many who'd think better of doing something stupid or selfish.

Definitely a stag party to be avoided. It's much safer and more humane to hang Aunt Agatha on the wall. Just a photo, of course.

A very clever mix, Hully. The festive season and trophy hunters, you've done it again... another out-of-the-box gem! Ho,ho,ho!

Great piece of festive writing, Hully. I am a hunter, but I can say with all honesty that I've never wasted anything, nor have I mounted a head, tail, or other extremity of an animal on the wall. What struck me the funniest was the tines on the rack, obviously giving us the 'fickle finger of fate'.
