Every night I lay down and cry,

I spy with my little eye,

A shattered girl,

A beautiful pearl.

Every night I think of my mistakes,

Look at that girl, she's about to break,

She sees no use in her life,

She's walking towards the knife.

Every night I watch through the mirror,

Seeing the girl's pain clearer and clearer,

I want to help her,

But I haven't found my voice, I'm just a whisperer.

Every night I plead,

How can I help if not even I have been freed,

I can't assure her if i'm not right myself,

I hear it now, "don't kill oneself'

Every night the blood gushes down,

On her clean white gown,

Practice makes perfect,

Her future, I'm starting to predict.

Every night she won't hold back,

Her pain, starting to crack.

I'm too late,

I distinctly hear death say, "checkmate."

One night her body drops,

One less beat and her heart stops.

I yell in endless pain,

My emotions going insane.
