My mother used to sing me songs,

My father used to tell me stories,

Of the man who crossed the world,

Through unexplored territories.

He was a brave young man,

No older than twenty,

He made friends everywhere he went,

Making memories aplenty.

“Your grandfather,” they told me,

Was a stubborn young man,

He left to explore the world,

Shouting ‘I can!’”

I remembered these stories,

As I drew up my plan,

To go around the world,

Following the brave young man.
