The time draws near,

The battle awaits,

The air is filled,

With anticipation!

I hear the thunder,

I feel the rumble,

Or perhaps it is,

But the beating of my heart?

Adrenaline rush,

Excitement rise,

The cheers are like roars of lions,

But can I do it?

I clench my fists,

I grit my teeth,

I stomp my foot,

And in I charge!

There is no stopping,

No pause or break,

This is real,

This is now!

I meet my foe,

One of equal or greater strength,

I cry out,

"This is war!"

All is lost,

I fight all I can,

The crowd cheers,

I am weak...

The end is coming,

I feel it within,

I do not stop,

I cannot stop!

I feel it within me,

The crazy rage inside,

Perhaps it was all foolish,

But it is too late...

I fall upon the rocky ground,

And my foe halts,

I feel him there,

He watches me!

Where did my strength go?

When I so greatly needed it?

My foe extends a hand for mine,

"Arise!"

I stand,

My foe,

My friend,

My life is spared!

The crowd,

They boo!

They have no compassion!

My friend leads me to safety.

To new places,

With my friend,

I am safe,

He healed me.
