A thief caught in the act decides to write a letter to his girl friend from prison

"My dear grace. Im sorry to put you in pains. I write to you from a plain room, a little bed, a toilet, no window

i miss the seaside with the green grass and the feeling of the wind in my face

you know i'm not a criminal. But i'd be a criminal a thousand times just to love you, to be with you

i reckon, i've hurt and shatter your heart a million times. I'm sorry, im not there to help pick up the pieces

i wanted to elevate this union by finding a nice ring. So i hit the jewel store, brought you a nice ring.

but this one ring in a glass. when i look at it. I'd picture your fingers in 'em so perfect. I wanted it. Like the feeling called euphoria.

i broke the barrier stopping me from taking the ring and placing it in your finger. They tried to stop me, the red lights people.

they tried to keep us apart. they put me in a van, said i commited a crime. Tell me, is it a crime to show one's love, is it?

They cant stop me though. I have this new nice ring i lifted, in my pocket, no one knows.

And when i get out. Im coming straight to put it in your finger. The perfect fit.

oh grace, grace I miss you. And the cell is cold.

your's criminal lover
