Urban legends are a common thing in our world. Stories passed on from parents to children or entire new stories created by recent experiences from people. Of course, many of these stories aren't true, just a myth. In this story, however, the urban legends are true, and they eventually affect the lives of those who live close to the villages.

This story is once again about human-like animals. The Melody Forests is a big area full of small villages, completely surrounded by forests, which connect the villages. Near these villages lie abig city and a district, Marisgow and Haringwyck, a few miles away, where most of the villagers moved to when they grew up. They wouldn’t have a future in the small villages.

But the elders would always stay and talk about the many urban legends surrounding the woods. According to these tales, the forests were much bigger than they seemed, alot bigger in fact. Like they were countries of their own and they even had two kingdoms. And within these forests lived animals in secret, many of them had the habit of painting their faces, maybe an act of honour or a way to show personality? They would always be in a war with each other and sometimes, though rarely, they would go out of their safe zones to explore the villages. Of course, this was ridiculous, but the story itself was quite interesting…

This sparked an idea in Julian Ackerman, a wealthy young-adult born in Haringwyck, and his friends. They were talented singers, so they started a band in Marisgow. Their band took inspiration from the urban legends from their home villages, painting their faces to represent the magical animals from the forests. For a good long while, things went well for them. They got popular in Marisgow and citizens from other cities started to notice them too. Until the city got a new mayor, a shady guy with an unclear history, who immediately started with changing a few things in the Melody Forests, the city was in control of the villages, after all.

Strange, but unimportant to Julian, who just shrugged it off as something that would come and go. Well, it seemed like that anyway, until they came from the forests with terrible news...
