All was bare and cold. The lullabies the trees usually sang was now but a thread of screams violently thrashing the fragile leaves, which howled in agony. Your head which was rested against your bruised knees was lifted by the wind's hands. It's embrace leaving sharp pains down your spine. As your eyes lazily searched around the room, your smile was stolen from your face, replaced with a hollow fear. Shadows had climbed the walls and slowly began creeping around, closer and closer to your fragile, bare body. Quickly, you closed your eyes, shaking. You tried to block out the screams of the trees, the Shadows of yourself. But failure was your result. Your body became limp and useless as the shadows dragged you around, cutting deep into your skin with the harsh words they spat. More bruises marked your body, as the shadows threw their stones at you, trying to destroy anything beautiful that remained... You wanted it to stop... You wanted the pain to go away... You wanted... silence.Your eyes finally opened, to look at the dusty rope being offered to you. Hesitation... You felt it... But obliged to their offer, taking the rope into a firm grip. The warm, red, trickled down from your nose and mouth. Leaving a watery echo throughout the room as they dripped onto the floor, forming a puddle. Licking the red off your lips, you began tying the rope together, like a lasso. Without realizing, tears had begun rolling down your cheeks, creating a river on your skin. Your whimpers were quiet as your tongue was folded by hate, Hate for yourself. The rope was now tied, and you slowly took a step up onto the chair, now placing your head in the hole, fitting the rope around your neck. As you took a daring leap to the other world... all that was heard after was silence.
