Burning through the night, the fire blazes on

fighting off the wind, that from the north is born

two beings caught in flight, lost in between two worlds

drinking in each moment that the fading evening holds

one touches the stars, the other urges fate

neither are aware as fire light begins to fade

this world is not their own, but soon they will know bliss

the darkness races on, concealing a stolen kiss

as dawn swiftly approaches, threatening all evidence of peace

they stand still without any fear , for the gods have greater needs this eve
