In a world ruled by vain and vindictive gods, arbitrary rules and careless whims place the world of man in constant danger.
At the end of a vicious desert is the base of the mountain that holds the hall of the gods, and at the base is a plinth that holds the chalice of life-everlasting, guarded by heartless winged giants.
On the other side of the desert is a little fishing village by the sea. When fisher Eia finds that her mother is suddenly ill without warning, Eia goes to bring back the chalice at whatever cost.
Stubborn to the point of foolishness, Eia will find she has no friends in the no-man's-land, and nothing to protect herself.
