We are the same,
This flower and I.
Both afraid of being called by name.
Too scared to look down, so we stare at the sky

“The Forgotten Flower”

There sits a fragile, forgotten flower,

Lonely in a sea of green.

The sky thunders and it starts to cower,

Afraid of ever being seen.

Tattered and torn, it droops in despair,

Just as the scent of rain fills the air.

Secluded, isolated, it's all alone,

Forced to face the pouring rain, all on its own.

Few would notice the missing petal,

None would care for the broken leaf.

And every time a pedal Falls,

the stem would simply bow with grief.

There sat a fragile, forgotten flower,

Lonely in a sea of green.

When the sky had thundered It used to cower,

It lived a long life but it was never seen.
