Taking Out the Trash

I take out my anger and sorrow

And roll them all up in a ball

And Oh! What a wonderful feeling

To hurl them against a brick wall.

They break into such tiny pieces

And scatter so far and so wide

That’s what’s left of me is just peaceful,

So warm and so happy inside.

It’s not something that I do daily,

Come on, I’m not angry as that!

But every so often it hits me

And that’s when I take off my hat.

I do recommend that you try it,

It’s worth all the effort, you know,

Life is too short to hang on to pain

So roll it all up and let go!
