I cannot save you from the water in which you wish to drown,

the ocean is a grave, but it doesn’t have to be.

Your glow is so brilliant.  Do you want it to die?

You think you are useless when you could be a guiding light.

Sinking deeper like you do at dawn,

only now it’s into the frigid depths;

I cannot save you from drowning yourself,

Think again before going down.

The water shines brilliantly in your soft light,

the sky is dark like an ocean abyss.

I cannot save you.  You must save yourself.

Isn’t it worth an act of selflessness?

You’ve lost your hope but not your shine,

if only you could cast your glow on yourself;

I know you have so much more light to give,

Don’t let this be your end.

Look to the sky where you used to live,

see that beautiful dot passing by.

I’ve made a wish.  Now see it through.

Rise again to shine your gentle glow,

You’re stronger than you know.
