The sparkle in a child’s eye,

A glow they swear will never die.

They’ve always believed in the unbelievable.

They know they’ll achieve the unachievable.

The hopes that they hold,

Close to their heart,

Their moves are bold,

Their dreams: works of art.

If only they knew,

The things I’d do,

If my childlike wonder

Hadn’t faded, but grew.
