Life is but a lullaby

Which sings us to the Great Goodbye.

Many fret, so full of cares

Wondering what will happen there.

And taking Life upon themselves,

they clamor after gold and wealth.

They won’t look at the final page

and won’t repair mistakes they’ve made.

They refuse to go to bed

Till they succumb to the angel of death.

But the good ones, full of purpose and light

Turn down their covers without a fight.

They listen to the song so sweet

and cry until the tear’s complete.

Tucked in bed by a Love on High

Their days spent well till sleep draws nigh.

Fighting only the Darkest Deep

they have no fear of falling asleep.

Troubles leave with the morning light

And they say that’s why the Good Ones Die.
