Lurking between the trees

as I walk the lonely trail,

The dark begins to enfold

and the dark swallows me whole.

I know not where I go

I know not where I’ve been,

The dark that holds me so

is a home I cannot escape.

Look for me tomorrow

when wandering the trail,

Wait for me at supper’s time

and pray I make it back.

The call to you at night

is my ghost looking for home,

Where I dwell in the dark

is the only home I’ll now know.
