I'm not awake,
I'm not asleep,
For Heaven's sake,
Enlighten me...

Where am I?
I suppose it seems...
That I am here;
In the Place Between.

“The Place Between”

I look at the sky, and there I see,

A million stars staring back at me.

In the pitch black darkness,

The moon lights my way.

And in its fullness, I think of the coming day.

At dawn every morning,

The sun floats above the sea.

Light drips from my window,

Awakening me.

And as the sun sets,

I lay in my bed.

With a weary mind,

I claim my time of rest.

Then I’m in the place between,

Between asleep and reality.

I think of what my future holds for me,

And hope that, someday, I’ll conquer my dreams.
