This is an amazing first chapter! It gripped me right from the very first paragraph, got into the mind of the main character, and set up an intriguing mystery that begs to be solved. It held me right up to the very last sentence, then left me aching to know, "Who is Fred?" Excellent start to what I can only imagine will be a fascinating book. When will it come out?

After reading these first three chapters, I had to buy the book! This is one of the very best young adult adventure books I have ever read: exciting, mysterious, sometimes sad, sometimes funny. Filled with terrifying incidents and encounters with supernatural beings, with references to Native American history and issues. Exceptionally well written! Excellent job! This book is destined to be a best-seller!
