The snowflakes gently
touch the eyelashes, turning
into icy tears.

snow falling from the sky is an overall allusion to crying, which fits perfectly with how you ended this poetic gem. masterfully written. thank you for sharing.

Thanks you for your kind comment. I am glad this haiku evokes that image for you. It is not always clear to the author if a haiku is going to be successful in portraying the thing one had in mind, so it is nice to find out it works.

I love haiku's and this one was great. It captured so much of a picture and feeling in so few words that it was lovely. I can just see the snowflakes falling down.
