“Full!”

Cries my stomach in earnest.

“Much too full!”

“Too full to take another sip!”

“We cannot drink another drop!”

“Lies,”

I chide it.

“We haven’t eaten all day,”

“How on earth could we be full?”

“You are simply being grouchy.”

“Fine,”

Growls my stomach.

“I am small, and empty,”

“But you are making me sick.”

“I think we should stop!”

“No, no,”

I insist,

“This is our medicine,”

“And we must drink it with haste.”

“It will make us feel much better.”

My stomach and I take another shot.
