Little girl lost in a sea of unease, the weight of the world  brought her to her knees. She fell  in a  pit of despair black as night, she was tired, worn out, and just couldn’t fight.  She thought it was over, that her life was done. The door had been shut, the final song sung. As she swallowed her poison and waited for life to end, an angel appeared and said,  “I’ll be your friend.”  So the girl reached out, and unloaded her woe, and when she was done, she thought the angel would go. The angel just told her, I gave you the truth, and now that you have it here’s some further proof. Proof that you matter, are valid , and loved. Proof that you don’t have to be constantly shoved.  The girl, she was grateful and knew if she listened and learned, that the bad things she felt would soon become turned. She let go of unearned guilt, she worked through her abuses of the past and after a time the Angel said, “At Last!”  “You’ve become the woman I knew you could be, you’re truly my masterpiece don’t you see?” The girl cried happy tears and smiled at her friend, because she learned how to love herself in the end. Something else happened, she did not foresee, she had helped the angel to be stronger you see. Helped her to spread her wings and to fly, and once again the girl had to cry. She had been helped by the angel but she didn’t know, that she was helping the angel to grow. So this has been the story about how an angel saved me, and how I became one in turn you see.
