"Wow, C-S, the descriptions of that Mummie's attack were gut-churningly gruesome and so well done. I love the natural flow of dialogue you have built up between Malachi and Esteban -- it all flows so convincingly."
This time, Malachi finds himself in Egypt, fighting a mummy and an ancient sect of religious worshippers of Osiris.
*****WARNING***** contains strong bloody violence*****

I have become such a big fan of your opening lines CS63 and here too you did not disappoint !!!
The three "friends" are together again, and Mosha has not lost his touch...
Looking forward to the next chapter as they track down the mummy...
I think the way you introduced the mummy slowly was brilliant, dripping bread crumbs and spreading the reveal out over the whole chapter and several chapters. I thought it curious a mummy would be harvesting female organs because the mummy is typically male, and then you dropped that final bread crumb.
I'd also like to take a second to point out that although this was pitched as series of encounters with classic monsters, you've made everything very unique and inspired in each episode. I wasn't entirely sold on the idea of a mummy... I think it is the most boring of the classic monsters. This mummy is definitely not boring.

This is one of my favourites of the Malachi series, I got to blend a few story characters together.
Yeah! a shambling bandaged mummy would not be such a threat. So I had to put my thinking cap on for this one, I think it worked well.
I found writing the Mummy's origin chapter the most satisfying.
Hope you will enjoy it.
All the best,

Hello my friend!
I don't know how this happened, but I missed this one somehow! And I see there is also a fifth story of the Templar!!! This one has been posted in March 2019 and I could swear I thought I've read all of your Templar stories while stalking your page for several days. How I haven't come across these is beyond my mind ... But oh well, we'll set this straight: I'm back :D
You never cease to amaze me with these combinations, this time a Templar/ Mummy. And what a Mummy! Clever idea to make the Mummy's bandages into hypnotizing snakes and the way it takes over a human body ... Man! When the bandages got into the nose it instantly made me think of the PCR-test. I even felt it ... o.O *shivers*
Also, I'd like to find out why the Mummy attacks only women ...

Hi Al,
Great to hear from you. I am happy you liked the Mummy's description. It's not easy trying to make something diffierent about an iconic movie monster. But I think it worked out well in the end.
Your answer to why the mummy only attacks women, will be revealed very soon!
I hope you will like the twist?
Also, I have an idea for a new Malachi story swimming around in my head! I may start writing it after the new year.
Best Wishes
CS63.

I am really pleased you are enjoying my Templar series. It has turned out to be my favourite series to write.
Sun, March 3rd, 2019 1:21amI was trying to get a new slant on the Mummy theme without it just shambling about and strangling people. There is a purpose behind the murders, but not what you might first think!
There are a few more surprises to come with the mummy's origin, hope I can do the idea I have justice.
Writing Malachi and Esteban is like revisiting old friends. I have a real soft spot for those two rascals.
regards. CS63.
