To sing a song of humorous deeds

And merriment clad in dance

Is to be the Minstrel's Muse

Following the road to happenstance.

Hi, Ho, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

A Lady-in-waiting has found some shoes.

They were left, under her bed.

But the name of the owner is forgotten news.

Hi, Ho, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

Dee-lid-dally, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

The poem's not great but the song is fun

So let's all sing and give it a Go!

***

While strolling down a country road

We sing a song of chivalrous deeds

Knights in battle and Damsels to save

Riding so boldly on their stately steeds.

Hi, Ho, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

A tipsy Knight found the Dragon's Den.

He found the den and the distressed Maiden

But he had not brought his sword with him.

Hi, Ho, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

Dee-lid-dally, Dee-lid-dally-Dow

The poem's not great but the song is fun

So let's all sing and give it a Go!

(Repeat)
