My mind is an enigma;

My heart—a mystery,

The demons that afflict me;

Are not yet history.

My mind is running rampant;

My soul longs to be free,

A guilty conscience I possess;

The guilt just lives with me.

And though I cannot run;

I found a remedy,

Forge a friendship with the time;

My only enemy.

I’m no longer broken down;

I’ve put myself together,

I fear in the long run;

This may not last forever.

One day I will cut ties;

And sever strong discussions,

And hope I can escape;

Without the repercussions.
